Dr Sarah Gordon will be joining us once again on the 18th of May at 3pm to share some of her insights to the delights of Environment, Social and Governance (ESG). During this webinar she will explore what ESG truly means and how it has evolved over the past few decades; how governments, regulators, investors, educators and society are approaching the challenges posed by ESG; and finally, how business continuity and risk management provide one of the core mechanisms through which organisations can truly achieve their ESG ambitions.
As always, this presentation will be lively, full of stories and contain multiple practical hints, tips and tools that we can all make use of in the real world.
A Bit About Sarah:
Having completed her undergraduate at the University of Glasgow and PhD at Imperial College London, Sarah then went on to work as a Geologist for Anglo American. She was lucky enough to live and work in Canada, Brazil, Southern Africa, and Europe, in a variety of functions from exploration through to sustainability, risk management and assurance. This grounding allowed her to explore different risk management techniques and uses, applying them to real situations.
Sarah co-founded Satarla in 2014 (www.satarla.com). Now with 75 Associates based around the world, and offices in London, Sydney, Johannesburg and Lima, Satarla provides risk management consultancy, training and research to organisations from sectors such as healthcare, agriculture, charities, finance, together with petrochemicals, energy, oil & gas, and mining.
Sarah is an honorary lecturer at Imperial College London and Research Associate at the University of Johannesburg. Voted as one of the top 10 most inspirational women in mining in 2016, she is also currently Secretary for External Relations and Foreign Affairs for the Geological Society of London.
